GSO Test

Welcome

Head teacher | Mrs. Caroline Phillips

Baring is a small, friendly school, with an ambitious and varied curriculum.

Our curriculum is ambitious, broad and relevant to our children.  We like to go on trips and often bring visitors into school to support the children’s learning.  We enjoy learning outdoors through our 'Forest School' curriculum which takes place in our local park.

We have 11 values (one for each month - except August).  These were chosen by the school community.  They are: Communication, Honesty, Respect, Friendship, Perseverance, Empathy, Courage, Forgiveness, Responsibility, Kindness and Confidence.  We learn about these in our assemblies and in class discussions.  We know the British Sign Language sign for each of the values.

Baring Primary School serves a relatively small area immediately adjacent to the school. The children and parents of Baring are from many different cultures and speak over 40 different languages. This helps to make our school a special place where we value our similarities and differences and enjoy learning from each other. We aim to work closely with all members of our school community to ensure that our children get the most out of their time with us.

If you are visiting our website as an existing member of the Baring community, a prospective parent or just out of interest, we hope, through this website, you will gain a picture of all the fun and varied opportunities that the children experience in their daily learning.

Please don't hesitate to contact me or any member of staff for more information or to make an appointment to come and visit us.
