Science
Science is about children exploring, finding out and making sense of their world. It is a body
of ever changing knowledge and therefore we must teach children how to develop processes
for testing and refining this knowledge. At Baring Primary School, Science work is often
topic linked to cover the four main areas of the National Curriculum: Scientific Enquiry, Life
Processes and Living Things, Materials and their Properties, and Physical Processes.
Experiments and investigations using fair testing methods are at the heart of our Science
curriculum.
