International School
In September 2018, our school was re-accredited with the British Council International School Award for 3 years, 2018 - 2021. The award is given to schools that do outstanding work in international education and how they bring the world into their classrooms so that children can begin to gain the cultural understanding and skills they need to live and work as global citizens.
Our partnership with the Gurukul School in India through the Connecting Classrooms was recognised as having great potential for developing a mutually fulfilling and sustainable collaboration that has led to some interesting collaboration in the areas of global citizenship.
In December Mrs Phillips went to The Houses of Parliament and collected the award on behalf of Baring.
Mrs. Phillips and Mr. Greaves recently visited the Gurukul School in Chandrigah in India.
Here is a film about their visit.
The British Council in granting the award also noted our Language of the Month activities and our imaginative plans for sustaining, broadening and improving an international dimension as part of our school ethos
They also liked our International Evening which we organise bi-annually.
